Sahih Muslim 2662c (Book 46, Hadith 47) #13842
Predestination of Heaven and Hell

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that Allah has predetermined who will go to Paradise and who will go to Hell, even before they are born.

'A'isha, the mother of the believers, said that Allah's Messenger was called to lead the funeral prayer of a child of the Ansar. I said: Allah's Messenger, there is happiness for this child who is a bird from the birds of Paradise for it committed no sin nor has he reached the age when one can commit sin. He said: 'A'isha, per adventure, it may be otherwise, because God created for Paradise those who are fit for it while they were yet in their father's loins and created for Hell those who are to go to Hell. He created them for Hell while they were yet in their father's loins.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that Allah has predetermined who will go to Paradise and who will go to Hell, even before they are born. It is a reminder for us that we should not be too quick in judging people or their actions as only Allah knows what is best for them. The Prophet Muhammad was teaching us here that we should have faith in God's plan and trust His judgement. He also taught us not to be too quick in assuming someone's fate as only God knows what lies ahead for them. We should always strive towards righteousness and good deeds so that we can increase our chances of entering Paradise when the time comes.
