Sahih Muslim 2652d (Book 46, Hadith 23) #13818
Predestined Destiny

SUMMARY: This hadith is about an argument between Adam and Moses, in which Adam comes out on top by reminding Moses that his own destiny was predetermined by Allah.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: There was an argument between Adam and Moses. Moses said: Are you that Adam whose lapse caused you to get out of Paradise? Adam said to him: Are you that Moses whom Allah selected for His Messengership, for His conversation and you blame me for an affair which had been ordained for me before I was created? This is how Adam came the better of Moses.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have patience & faith in God , Accept fate & don't blame others .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about an argument between two of the most important prophets in Islam - Adam and Moses. The story goes that when they were arguing, Moses asked if he was the same Adam who caused himself to be expelled from Paradise. To this, Adam replied that he was not to blame for what happened as it had been predetermined by Allah before he was even created. In other words, it wasn't his fault and so he came out on top of the argument. This teaches us a valuable lesson about predestination - that everything happens according to God's will and we should accept whatever happens with patience and faith in Him. We should also remember not to blame others for their mistakes or misfortunes as these may have been preordained by God too.
