Sahih Muslim 2627 (Book 45, Hadith 188) #13766
Helping Those in Need

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encouraged his companions to help those in need and promised them a reward for doing so.

Abu Musa reported that when any needy (person) came to Allah's Messenger with a need he commanded him to his Companions, saying: Make a recommendation for him, and you would get the reward. Allah, however, gives the verdict through the tongue of His Apostle what He likes most.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us the importance of helping those who are in need. He encouraged his companions to do so, and promised them a reward from Allah for their generosity. He also reminded us that Allah is the one who ultimately decides what is best for us, and that His judgement should be respected. We can learn from this hadith that it is important to be generous with our time, money, and resources when we can, as it will bring us closer to Allah and benefit others too.
