Generosity and Courtesy in Sharing Food

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commanded Abu Dharr to be generous and courteous when preparing a broth by adding water to it and sharing it with the members of his neighbours' households.

Abu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger commanded me thus: Whenever you prepare a broth, add water to it, and have in your mind the members of the household of your neighbours and then give them out of this with courtesy.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Dharr speaks about the importance of generosity and courtesy when sharing food. It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commanded him to add water to a broth he was preparing so that he could share it with his neighbours' households. This hadith teaches us that we should always be generous when sharing food, as well as being courteous towards others. We should also remember those who are less fortunate than us, such as our neighbours, and make sure they have enough food too. By doing this we can show kindness towards others which is an important part of our faith.
