Truthfulness and Invoking Curses

SUMMARY: It is not appropriate for a person of truthfulness to be an invoker of curse.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: It does not seem proper for a Siddiq that he should be an invoker of curse.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to be truthful in words and actions.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of truthfulness and how it should not be mixed with invoking curses. A Siddiq is someone who is known for their truthfulness and honesty. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was teaching us that even if someone has this quality, they should still refrain from cursing others as it does not fit with the character of a Siddiq. We can learn from this hadith that we should always strive to be truthful in our words and actions but also remember to stay away from cursing or speaking ill about others.
