Leave It For It Is Disgusting

SUMMARY: A person from the emigrants struck the back of an Ansari and asked for compensation, but Allah's Apostle ﷺ said to leave it as it is something disgusting.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that a person from the emigrants struck the back of an Ansari. He came to Allah's Apostle and asked for compensation. Thereupon Allah's Apostle said: Leave it. for it is something disgusting. Ibn Mansur said that in the narration transmitted on the authority of Amr (these words are also found):" I heard Jabir".

QUICK LESSONS:
Forgive others instead of seeking revenge or compensation when wronged by them.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a situation where a person from the emigrants, or Muhajirun, struck the back of an Ansari and asked for compensation. However, Allah's Apostle said to leave it as it is something disgusting or Khabith. This hadith teaches us that we should not seek revenge or compensation when someone wrongs us because this can lead to further conflict and animosity between people. Instead, we should forgive them and move on with our lives in peace. We should also remember that Allah does not like those who are vengeful or seek revenge against others.
