Sahih Muslim 2524 (Book 44, Hadith 279) #13530
Compassion Over Curse

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed mercy and compassion towards those who disbelieved in him, instead of cursing them.

Abu Huraira reported that Tufail and his companions said: Allah's Messenger, the tribe of Daws has disbelieved and has belied you, so invoke curse upon them. It was said: Let Daws be destroyed, whereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: Allah guide aright the tribe of Daws and direct them to me.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's mercy and compassion towards those who disbelieved in him. Instead of cursing them, he asked Allah to guide them and direct them to him. This teaches us that we should always show mercy and compassion even when faced with disbelief or opposition from others. We should never resort to cursing or violence as a response, but rather try our best to show kindness and understanding. Even if someone does not believe in us or our message, we should still strive for peace and understanding between us. We can also learn from this hadith that it is important for us to be patient when dealing with difficult people or situations, as the Prophet Muhammad was able to remain calm even when faced with disbelief from his own tribe.
