The Prophet's Welcoming Smile

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always welcomed Jarir b. 'Abdullah with a smile whenever he visited him.

(6050) Jarir b. 'Abdullah said: Allah's Messenger never refused me permission to see him since I embraced Islam and never looked at me but with a smile.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي، حَازِمٍ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي، حَازِمٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَا حَجَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمْتُ وَلاَ رَآنِي إِلاَّ ضَحِكَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the kindness and hospitality of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ towards his companions and followers. It is narrated by Jarir b. 'Abdullah that since he embraced Islam, the Prophet ﷺ never refused him permission to visit him and always greeted him with a warm smile on his face. This hadith teaches us that we should be welcoming and kind to those who come to us for help or guidance as it was the way of our beloved prophet ﷺ . We should also strive to make others feel comfortable in our presence by being friendly and smiling at them when they come to us for help or advice.
