Sahih Muslim 2435d (Book 44, Hadith 110) #13361
Jealousy of Khadija for the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised his first wife Khadija often, and this made 'A'isha feel jealous of her.

'A'isha reported: Never did I feel jealous of any wife amongst the wives of Allah's Apostle as I feel in case of Khadija (though I had never seen her), for he praised her very often.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the jealousy that 'A'isha felt towards Khadija, the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Even though she had never seen her, she felt jealous because the Prophet praised her so often. This shows us how much he loved and respected his first wife. It also teaches us to be respectful and kind to our spouses, as well as to appreciate them for their good qualities. We should also remember that it is not wrong to feel a little bit of jealousy sometimes; however, we should strive to control our emotions in order to maintain peace in our relationships.
