The Bravery of Talha and Sa'd

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the bravery of Talha and Sa'd who remained with Allah's Messenger during a battle.

Abu 'Uthman reported on one of the days when Allah's Messenger was fighting and none remained with him save Talha and Sa'd.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، وَحَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ لَمْ يَبْقَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي بَعْضِ تِلْكَ الأَيَّامِ الَّتِي قَاتَلَ فِيهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ طَلْحَةَ وَسَعْدٍ ‏.‏ عَنْ حَدِيثِهِمَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the courage and bravery of two companions of Prophet Muhammad, Talha and Sa'd. During a battle, they were the only two people who stayed with Prophet Muhammad. This shows their loyalty to him as well as their courage in facing danger for his sake. It also serves as an example for us to follow in our own lives; that we should be brave when faced with difficult situations and remain loyal to those we love even if it means putting ourselves at risk. We can learn from this hadith that it is important to stand up for what we believe in even if it means going against popular opinion or facing danger.
