EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Salim b. 'Abdullah, who reported on the authority of his father some of the dreams that Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) had pertaining to two companions, Abu Bakr and Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with them). The dream was a sign from Allah that these two men were special in His eyes, as they were both chosen by Him to lead the Muslim community after Prophet Muhammad's death. It teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds in order to gain Allah's favor and blessings, as He will reward those who are obedient to Him with great things in this life and in the hereafter. We should also remember that our actions have consequences, so it is important for us to think before we act in order to ensure that our decisions are wise ones which will benefit us both now and later on down the line.
