The Prophet's Reaction to Revelation

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's reaction when he received revelation from Allah.

'A'isha reported: When revelation descended upon Allah's Messenger even during the cold days, his forehead perspired.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ إِنْ كَانَ لَيُنْزَلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي الْغَدَاةِ الْبَارِدَةِ ثُمَّ تَفِيضُ جَبْهَتُهُ عَرَقًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the reaction of the beloved prophet Muhammad when he received revelation from Allah. It is said that even during cold days his forehead would perspire. This shows us how much reverence and awe he felt for Allah and His words. He was so devoted to receiving guidance from Him that even in cold weather his forehead would sweat out of excitement and anticipation for what was to come. This hadith teaches us to be humble before our Creator and strive to receive His guidance with a pure heart full of love and devotion.
