The Fragile Vessels

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of being careful and taking precautions when handling fragile items.

Anas b. Malik reported that Umm Sulaim was with the wives of Allah's Apostle and a camel-driver had been driving (the camels) oil which they were riding. Thereupon Allah's Apostle said: Anjasha, drive slowly, for you are carrying (on the camels) vessels of glass.
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ، بْنِ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ مَعَ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ وَهُنَّ يَسُوقُ بِهِنَّ سَوَّاقٌ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَىْ أَنْجَشَةُ رُوَيْدًا سَوْقَكَ بِالْقَوَارِيرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Anas b. Malik, who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In this hadith, Umm Sulaim was travelling with the wives of Prophet Muhammad on camels that were driven by a camel-driver named Anjasha. Prophet Muhammad then instructed Anjasha to drive slowly as they were carrying vessels made of glass which are fragile and can easily break if not handled with care. This hadith teaches us the importance of being careful and taking precautions when handling fragile items or any other task that requires extra attention and caution in order to avoid any damage or harm caused due to negligence or carelessness. It also emphasizes on the need for patience while performing tasks as rushing through them can lead to mistakes which may have serious consequences in some cases.
