Show respect towards those who have passed away regardless of their beliefs or actions while alive; Be generous and kind towards your relatives even if they do not reciprocate your kindnesses; Follow the example set by Allah's Messenger ﷺ when dealing with others .

This hadith narrates an incident where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ showed mercy to a deceased hypocrite, Abdullah bin Ubai. After Abdullah was laid in his grave, the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be taken out and placed on his knees. He then threw some of his saliva on him and clothed him in his own shirt. It is believed that this was done as a form of recompense for what Abdullah had done for Al-Abbas, the Prophet's uncle. This hadith teaches us about the immense mercy of Allah's Messenger ﷺ towards all people regardless of their beliefs or actions while alive.
