Follow Islamic teachings, consult religious scholars for guidance, respect animals created by Allah SWT

This hadith is about the commandment given by Prophet Muhammad regarding the killing of geckos. It was reported by Umm Sharik that she consulted Allah's Apostle in regard to killing of geckos and he commanded her to kill them. She was one of the women from the tribe of 'Amir b. Luwayy. This hadith has been reported through another chain of transmitters with the same meaning. The main idea behind this hadith is that it is permissible for Muslims to kill certain animals such as geckos if they are causing harm or nuisance in their homes or surroundings. It also teaches us that we should consult religious scholars when we have doubts about any matter related to our faith and practice so that we can make sure we are following Islamic teachings correctly and not doing anything wrong or forbidden according to Islam.
