Killing of Striped Snakes

SUMMARY: Killing of a snake with stripes is commanded by Allah's Messenger as it affects eyesight and miscarries pregnancy.

'A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger commanded the killing of a snake having stripes over it, for it affects eyesight and miscarries pregnancy.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِقَتْلِ ذِي الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يَلْتَمِسُ الْبَصَرَ وَيُصِيبُ الْحَبَلَ
