Sahih al-Bukhari 1344 (Book 23, Hadith 99) #1291
Avoiding Conflict for Worldly Things

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned his followers against fighting with one another for worldly things after his death.

Narrated 'Uqba bin 'Amir: One day the Prophet went out and offered the funeral prayers of the martyrs of Uhud and then went up the pulpit and said, "I will pave the way for you as your predecessor and will be a witness on you. By Allah! I see my Fount (Kauthar) just now and I have been given the keys of all the treasures of the earth (or the keys of the earth). By Allah! I am not afraid that you will worship others along with Allah after my death, but I am afraid that you will fight with one another for the worldly things".

QUICK LESSONS:
Prioritize your spiritual life, strive towards righteousness rather than engaging in disputes over temporary matters of this world .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was concerned about the well-being of his followers even after he passed away. He warned them against fighting with one another over worldly things, such as money and possessions. He reminded them that these material items are not worth risking their relationships over, and that they should focus on the afterlife instead. This hadith teaches us to prioritize our spiritual lives over our material ones, and to avoid conflict in order to maintain peace and harmony among ourselves. We should remember that we will all be held accountable for our actions in the hereafter, so it is important to strive towards righteousness rather than engaging in disputes over temporary matters of this world.
