The Power of Sacred Words

SUMMARY: Good omen is expressed through sacred words.

Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Messenger as saying: There is no transitive disease, no divination, but good omen pleases me. It was said: What is good omen? He said: Sacred words.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ قِيلَ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ ‏"‏ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith, narrated by Anas b. Malik, speaks about the power of sacred words and how they can bring good omen to a person's life. It is reported that Allah's Messenger said that there is no transitive disease or divination but good omen pleases him and when asked what good omen was, he replied that it was sacred words.
