This hadith talks about how one should treat a fever. It was reported by Asma’ that a woman running high fever was brought to her and she asked for water and sprinkled it on the uppermost part of the chest. It is said that Allah's Messenger said that this would cool down the fever as it is due to the vehemence of the beat of Hell. This hadith teaches us that we should take care of our health and use natural remedies such as water when we are unwell, instead of relying on medicines or other treatments. We can also learn from this hadith that Allah has given us natural remedies which can help us in times of need, so we should be thankful for them and use them wisely.
