Sahih Muslim 2192a (Book 39, Hadith 68) #12806
Healing Through Recitation of Mu'awwidhatan

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite Mu'awwidhatan and blow over his family members when they were ill, and he would rub their bodies with his hands for healing.

'A'isha reported that when any of the members of the household fell ill Allah's Messenger used to blow over him by reciting Mu'awwidhatan, and when he suffered from illness of which he died I used to blow over him and rubbed his body with his hand for his hand had greater healing power than my hand.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in Allah's words
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the power of reciting the Mu’awwidhatan for healing illnesses. It is narrated by ‘A’isha that whenever any member of the household fell ill, Prophet Muhammad would recite the two chapters from the Quran known as “Mu’awwidhatain” which are Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas. He would then blow over them while reciting these chapters in order to heal them. Additionally, he would also rub their bodies with his hands as it was believed that his hands had greater healing power than anyone else's in the household. This hadith teaches us about how powerful faith can be in curing illnesses and how important it is to have faith in Allah's words when we are facing difficulties or hardships in life.
