Supplication of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for Relief from Troubles and Diseases

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the supplication of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Allah for relief from troubles and diseases.

'A'isha reported: Allah's Messenger used to recite (this supplication) as the words of incantation:" Lord of the people, remove the trouble for in Thine Hand is the cure; none is there to relieve him (the burden of disease) but only Thou.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يَرْقِي بِهَذِهِ الرُّقْيَةِ ‏ "‏ أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ بِيَدِكَ الشِّفَاءُ لاَ كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates the supplication of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Allah for relief from troubles and diseases. He used to recite this supplication as a form of incantation. The essence of this hadith is that we should always turn to Allah in times of difficulty and seek His help as He alone can cure us from our afflictions. We should also have faith that whatever happens is by His will and He will provide us with a way out if we turn to Him in prayer.
