The Power of Saliva

SUMMARY: Abdullah b. Zubair was taken to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that he could put saliva in his mouth.

'A'isha reported: We took 'Abdullah b. Zubair to Allah's Apostle so that he should put saliva in his mouth and we had to make a good deal of effort in order to procure them.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ جِئْنَا بِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ يُحَنِّكُهُ فَطَلَبْنَا تَمْرَةً فَعَزَّ عَلَيْنَا طَلَبُهَا
