Sahih al-Bukhari 1315 (Book 23, Hadith 72) #1264
Hurry Up With Burial Of The Dead

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) encourages people to quickly bury the dead, as it is a good deed if the deceased was righteous and a way of getting rid of an evil thing if they were not.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Hurry up with the dead body for if it was righteous, you are forwarding it to welfare; and if it was otherwise, then you are putting off an evil thing down your necks".

QUICK LESSONS:
Quickly bury the dead .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages people to quickly bury the dead, as it is a good deed if the deceased was righteous and a way of getting rid of an evil thing if they were not. It teaches us that we should be quick in burying our loved ones who have passed away, regardless of their righteousness or lack thereof. We should also remember that this act is beneficial for us in both cases; either we are sending them off to welfare or ridding ourselves from any potential harm that may come from leaving them unburied for too long.
