Removing Portraits of Winged Horses

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) commanded A'isha to remove a curtain with portraits of winged horses on it.

A'isha reported: Allah's Messenger came back from the journey and I had screened my door with a curtain having portraits of winged horses upon it. He commanded me and I pulled it away.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَقَدْ سَتَّرْتُ عَلَى بَابِي دُرْنُوكًا فِيهِ الْخَيْلُ ذَوَاتُ الأَجْنِحَةِ فَأَمَرَنِي فَنَزَعْتُهُ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's command to A'isha to remove a curtain with portraits of winged horses on it. This hadith teaches us that we should not have any images or pictures in our homes as they are considered haram in Islam. We should also follow the commands and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad without hesitation or doubt as he was sent by Allah as a messenger for guidance and mercy for all mankind. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and words at all times so that we can stay away from anything which is forbidden in Islam.
