The Ring of the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad had a silver ring with an Abyssinian stone in it.

QUICK LESSONS:
Wear jewelry within boundaries set by Allah's laws

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the ring of the Prophet Muhammad. It was made of silver and had an Abyssinian stone in it. This is a reminder to us that even though he was a prophet and messenger from Allah, he still lived like any other human being and wore jewelry like anyone else would. He also showed us that we should not be ashamed or embarrassed to wear jewelry if we choose to do so as long as it is within the boundaries set by Allah's laws. We can also learn from this hadith that we should strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives - even something as small as wearing a ring - because this is what our beloved prophet did!
