EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about avoiding pride and arrogance. It was narrated by Abu Huraira, who saw a person whose lower garment was trailing on the ground while he was striking it with his foot in a conceited manner. People were saying “here comes the Amir of Bahrain”, referring to him with respect due to his position. However, Allah's Messenger said that Allah will not look towards someone who trails their lower garment out of pride. This hadith teaches us that we should not be proud or arrogant as it is displeasing to Allah and can lead us away from His mercy. We should also remember that no matter what our status or position is, we must remain humble and modest at all times if we want to please Allah.
