Appreciating Food

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad never complained about food, if he liked it he ate it and if not, he kept silent.

Abu Huraira reported: I never saw Allah's Messenger finding fault with food (served to him) ; if he liked it he ate it, and if did not like it he kept silent. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira through a different chain of transmitters.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be thankful for what you have and appreciate all blessings in your life.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of appreciating food and being thankful for what we have. The Prophet Muhammad was known to be a very humble man who never complained about anything, including the food that was served to him. If he liked it, he would eat it and if not, he would remain silent. This teaches us that we should always be grateful for what we have and appreciate all the blessings in our lives. We should also learn to keep quiet when something is not up to our expectations instead of complaining or making a fuss about it.
