Blessing of Leftover Food

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad took the leftover food and blessed it, which caused it to return to its original state.

Anas b Malik reported: Abu Talha sent me to Allah's Messenger ; the rest of the hadith is the same, but 'there is a slight variation of wording that he said at the end (The Holy Prophet) took what was left (of the food) and collected it and then invoked blessings upon it and it returned to its original state. He (the Holy Prophet) then said Take this.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the power of blessings. It tells us that when we bless something, even if it is just a small amount of leftover food, Allah can make it return to its original state. This teaches us that we should always be thankful for what we have and not take anything for granted. We should also remember to bless our food before eating so that Allah can increase its blessings and make it more beneficial for us.

The Prophet Muhammad was an example of this teaching in action as he took the leftover food and blessed it before giving it away. He showed us how powerful blessings can be and how they can bring about positive change in our lives if we use them correctly. We should strive to follow his example by blessing our own meals before consuming them as well as blessing other people's meals when given the opportunity.
