Drinking Water from Zamzam at the Ka'ba

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) drank water from Zamzam while standing near the Ka'ba.

Ibn 'Abbas reported: I served (water from) Zamzam to Allah's Messenger , and he drank while standing, and he asked for it while he was near the House (i. e. House of Allah-Ka'ba).
وَحَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، سَمِعَ الشَّعْبِيَّ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ سَقَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ زَمْزَمَ فَشَرِبَ قَائِمًا وَاسْتَسْقَى وَهُوَ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's experience of drinking water from Zamzam while standing near the House of Allah - also known as the Ka’bah. It is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad and one of his closest relatives. This hadith teaches us that we should be humble and grateful to Allah for all His blessings and that we should always remember Him in our daily lives. We can learn from this hadith that it is important to take time out for prayer and reflection even when we are busy with our daily activities. Additionally, it reminds us to be mindful of our actions when in a holy place like the Ka’bah so as not to disrespect its sanctity.
