Respect and Kindness in Serving Drinks

SUMMARY: Serving drinks to the Prophet Muhammad is a sign of respect and kindness.

Anas reported: I served drink to Allah's Messenger in this cup of mine: honey, Nabidh, water and milk.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ، بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ لَقَدْ سَقَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِقَدَحِي هَذَا الشَّرَابَ كُلَّهُ الْعَسَلَ وَالنَّبِيذَ وَالْمَاءَ وَاللَّبَنَ
