This hadith is about Allah's Messenger forbidding the preparation of a type of drink called Nabidh in certain containers. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited making this drink in gourds, pitchers that are smeared with pitch, varnished jars, and hollow stumps. These containers were not suitable for storing drinks because they could cause harm to those who drank from them.
