QUICK LESSONS:
Sacrificing animals as an act of worship; Thinking about how our actions can help those around us; Doing service continuously until it is completed or one reaches their destination; Helping others with our actions
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of sacrifice and service. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him sacrificed an animal as an act of worship to Allah. He then asked his companion Thauban to make the meat from this sacrifice usable for a journey. This shows us that even in acts of worship we should think about how it can benefit others too. We should not just think about ourselves but also how our actions can help those around us. It is also important to note that service is something that should be done continuously until it is completed or until one reaches their destination, which in this case was Medina.
