QUICK LESSONS:
Selecting animals based on their age rather than other factors such as size or color; preferring younger goats over older ones; considering tenderness and cost when making purchases/selections; being mindful when selecting an animal companion/pet .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the preference for goats that are less than one year old. It has been narrated by Shu'ba, who did not mention any doubt in his statement. This means that it is better to choose a goat that is younger rather than older when making a purchase or selection. This could be because younger goats tend to have more tender meat and may be easier to care for and raise. Additionally, they may also be cheaper in price compared to older goats, which could make them more attractive to buyers or those looking for an animal companion. Regardless of the reason, this hadith teaches us that it is preferable to select animals based on their age rather than other factors such as size or color.
