QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic guidelines while slaughtering an animal, Show respect for animals by treating them kindly and not causing them any unnecessary pain or suffering .

EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith reported by Asma' bint Abu Bakr, it is permissible to eat horse meat in Islam. This means that Muslims are allowed to slaughter horses and consume its meat if they wish. This was practiced during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and has been passed down as a tradition since then. The act of slaughtering a horse must be done according to Islamic guidelines which include reciting the name of Allah before beginning the process and ensuring that no harm comes to the animal during or after it has been slaughtered. It is important for Muslims to remember that although eating horse meat is permissible, they should still show respect for animals by treating them kindly and not causing them any unnecessary pain or suffering.
