This hadith discusses the prohibition of eating the flesh of domestic donkeys and permission to cook the flesh of horses. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited eating donkey meat on the day of Khaibar, which was a battle between Muslims and Jews in 628 CE. He also allowed for horse meat to be cooked as food.
