Be mindful and aware in daily life; Follow instructions from those in authority

On the day of Khaibar, Al-Bara' reported that they found domestic asses. The announcer for the Messenger of Allah then made an announcement to turn over any earthen pots they may have had with them. This hadith is a reminder to us to always be mindful and aware in our daily lives, as we never know what surprises may come our way. It also teaches us to take heed when we are given instructions from those in authority, as it is important to follow their orders even if we do not understand why at first.
