Sahih Muslim 715ad (Book 33, Hadith 266) #12076
Undesirability of Night Visiting

SUMMARY: It is undesirable to come to one's house like a night visitor, without doubting their fidelity or spying into their lapses.

A version of the tradition narrated on the authority of Jabir (but through a different chain of transmitters) mentions the undesirability of coining to one's house like a night visitor, but does not contain the words: " Doubting their fidelity or spying into their lapses".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect the privacy of others
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that it is not desirable to come to one's house like a night visitor, without doubting their fidelity or spying into their lapses. This means that we should not visit someone's home late at night and suspect them of any wrong doings. We should trust the people around us and respect their privacy. We should also be mindful of our own actions and avoid doing anything that could make others doubt our loyalty or integrity. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this lesson so that we can live in harmony with each other and build strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
