Staying Connected Despite Distance

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was on an expedition and reminded his companions that there were people in Medina who would have been with them if they weren't ill.

It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir who said: We were with the Prophet on an expedition. He said: There are some people in Medina. They are with you whenever you cover a distance or cross a valley. They have been detained by illness.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ لَرِجَالاً مَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا وَلاَ قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا إِلاَّ كَانُوا مَعَكُمْ حَبَسَهُمُ الْمَرَضُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of staying connected to one another despite physical distance. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was on an expedition with his companions when he reminded them that there were people in Medina who would have been with them if they weren't ill. He wanted to remind his companions that even though these people couldn't be physically present, their presence was still felt and appreciated. This hadith teaches us the importance of staying connected to our loved ones no matter how far away we are from each other. It also reminds us to think of those who are unable to join us due to illness or any other reason and appreciate their presence in spirit.
