Sahih Muslim 1904c (Book 33, Hadith 216) #12026
Showing Courage Through Patience

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that it is better to show courage and bravery through patience and forbearance rather than through physical fighting.

It has been narrated (through yet another chain of transmitters) on the same authority, i. e. Abu Musa, who said: We, came to the Messenger of Allah and said: Messenger of Allah, one of us hho fights to display his valour. (followed by the same words as we have in the previous tradition).

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of showing courage and bravery in a peaceful manner, rather than resorting to physical fighting. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised his companions to be patient and forbearing when faced with difficult situations, as this is a sign of true valour. He also warned against engaging in physical fights as this could lead to further conflict or even bloodshed. This hadith encourages us to be brave by exercising patience, self-control, and restraint when faced with challenging circumstances. It also reminds us that true strength lies not in our ability to fight but in our capacity for self-restraint and forbearance.
