Sahih Muslim 1895b (Book 33, Hadith 199) #12009
Caring for Warriors' Families Equals Battle Participation

SUMMARY: Taking care of the family of a warrior in the way of Allah is equivalent to participating in battle.

The above tradition has been narrated on the authority of Khalid al- Juhani who said: The Prophet of Allah said: He who equips a warrior in the way of Allah (is like one who actually fights) and he who looks after the family of a warrior in the way of Allah in fact participated in the battle.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of taking care of warriors and their families who are fighting in the way of Allah. It teaches us that helping those who are fighting for Allah's cause is just as important as actually going to battle yourself. The Prophet Muhammad said that anyone who helps equip a warrior or looks after their family has participated in the battle itself. This means that even if we cannot physically fight ourselves, we can still contribute by providing support and assistance to those who do fight. By doing this we can help ensure victory for our side and ultimately bring glory to Allah's name.
