Hold reins of horses ever ready to march in the way of Allah; Fly on its back whenever hearing fearful shriek or call for help; Live with sheep at hill-top or valley; Say prayers regularly; Give zakat ; Worship God until death comes .

This hadith speaks about two types of people who live the best life. The first type is someone who holds the reins of his horse ever ready to march in the way of Allah and fly on its back whenever he hears a fearful shriek or a call for help, seeking death at places where it can be expected. The second type is someone who lives with his sheep at a hill-top or in a valley, says his prayers regularly, gives Zakat and worships his Lord until death comes to him. Both these types are considered as exemplary individuals among men according to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This hadith encourages us to lead our lives devotedly towards Allah SWT by performing our religious obligations such as prayer and zakat while also being prepared for any situation that may arise which requires us to sacrifice ourselves for His cause.
