The Blessing of Horses

SUMMARY: Horses are a blessing from Allah and will remain so until the Day of Judgment.

The same tradition has been narrated on the authority of Urwat al-Bariqi who said that the Prophet said: Great good is attached to the forelock of the horses until the Day of Judgment.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the blessing that Allah has bestowed upon us in the form of horses. Horses have been used for many purposes since ancient times such as transportation, warfare and even entertainment. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that great good is attached to the forelock of horses until the Day of Judgment. This means that horses will continue to be a source of benefit for mankind until the end times. We should be thankful for this blessing and use it wisely in our lives. We should also take care to treat our horses with kindness and respect as they are an important part of our lives.
