Mindfulness in Actions and Words

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of being mindful of one's actions and words.

The above hadith has been narrated through several other chains with slight differences of wording.
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَالثَّقَفِيُّ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ - جَمِيعًا عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَالثَّقَفِيِّ ‏"‏ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَفِي حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ وَحَدِيثِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ‏"‏ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ
