QUICK LESSONS:
Be willing to sacrifice your life for your beliefs & causes if necessary .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Hudaibiya, a treaty was signed between Muslims and non-Muslims in 628 CE. During this treaty, Salama b. al-Akwa' swore an oath to Prophet Muhammad that he would fight until death if needed for his cause. This hadith is narrated by Yazid b. Abu Ubaid who was a freed slave of Salama b. al-Akwa'. This hadith teaches us that we should be willing to sacrifice our lives for our beliefs and causes if necessary and not be afraid or hesitant in doing so as it is an act of great courage and faithfulness towards Allah SWT's commands and teachings as mentioned in Quran 3:169 “Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead; nay they live finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord” .
