Kindness to a Maimed Slave

SUMMARY: The hadith is about an Abyssinian slave who was maimed and how the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) treated him with kindness.

In other versions of the above tradition, the wordings are" an Abyssinian slave". and" a maimed Abyssinian slave".
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ عَبْدًا حَبَشِيًّا مُجَدَّعًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the kindness and compassion that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed towards a maimed Abyssinian slave. It is said that when he saw this man, he asked him what happened to him, and upon hearing his story, he felt great sympathy for him. He then gave him some money so that he could buy himself freedom from slavery. This hadith teaches us the importance of showing kindness and compassion towards those who are less fortunate than us, regardless of their race or social status. It also shows us how we should treat people with respect even if they are not in a position of power or influence. We should always strive to be kind and generous towards others, no matter what their circumstances may be.
