Sahih al-Bukhari 1230 (Book 22, Hadith 8) #1186
Forgetting Tashah-hud During Prayer

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) forgetting to sit for Tashah-hud during the Zuhr prayer and instead performing two prostrations with the people.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Buhaina Al-Asdi: (the ally of Bani 'Abdul Muttalib) Allah's Messenger stood up for the Zuhr prayer and he should have sat (after the second rak'a but he stood up for the third rak'a without sitting for Tashah-hud) and when he finished the prayer he performed two prostrations and said Takbir on each prostration while sitting, before ending (the prayer) with Taslim; and the people too performed the two prostrations with him instead of the sitting he forgot.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray together in congregation , Learn from each other's mistakes , Continue on after making a mistake
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a situation that occurred during one of Prophet Muhammad's prayers. He stood up for the third rak'a without sitting for Tashah-hud, which is a part of prayer where one sits and recites certain verses from the Quran. Instead, he performed two prostrations with his followers who were also praying with him. This shows us that even though Prophet Muhammad was a messenger of Allah, he was still human and could make mistakes like anyone else. However, it also teaches us that we should not be ashamed or embarrassed if we make mistakes in our prayers or other religious practices; rather, we should continue on and complete them as best as possible. Additionally, this hadith emphasizes how important it is to pray together in congregation since it allows us to learn from each other's mistakes and help each other stay focused on our worship of Allah.
