Wrath of Allah for Harming the Messenger and Those Killed in His Way

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the wrath of Allah upon those who harm the Messenger of Allah and those killed in the way of Allah.

It has been narrated by Hammam b. Munabbih who said: This is what has been related to us by Abu Huraira from the Messenger of Allah . (With this introduction) he narrated a number of traditions. One of these was that the Messenger of Allah said: Great is the wrath of Allah upon a people who have done this to the Messenger of Allah , and he was at that time pointing to his front teeth. The Messenger of Allah also said: Great is the wrath of Allah upon a person who has been killed by the Messenger of Allah in the way of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَهُوَ حِينَئِذٍ يُشِيرُ إِلَى رَبَاعِيَتِهِ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏"‏ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَقْتُلُهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

This hadith speaks about how great is the wrath of Allah upon those who harm or hurt His messenger, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and also those who are killed in his way. It is a reminder to us that we should never do anything that would displease our Lord or hurt His beloved messenger. We should always strive to follow his teachings and live our lives according to them so that we can be rewarded by Him on Judgment Day. Furthermore, it teaches us to respect all people regardless of their faith or beliefs as killing someone unjustly will bring great wrath from God upon us.
