EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the value of a shield in the past. It was narrated by three people - Hisham, 'Abd al-Rahim and Abu Usama - who all agreed that shields were valuable during their time. Shields were used to protect people from harm and danger, so it makes sense that they would be highly valued. This hadith teaches us to appreciate things that are valuable and important to us even if they may not seem like much at first glance. We should also remember that what we consider valuable today may not be as valuable tomorrow, so we should make sure to take care of our possessions and use them wisely.
