EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith talks about a dispute between two groups of Muslims and Jews. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked to decide the case, so he used a method called ‘Qasama’ which is an Arabic term for equal punishment or blood money. It means that if someone kills another person, then they must pay compensation or face equal punishment as retribution. This hadith teaches us that we should always try to resolve our disputes peacefully and fairly, without resorting to violence or revenge. We should also remember that Allah ï·» has given us laws which we must follow in order to maintain justice in society.
