Be generous with your possessions even if you have little or nothing else to give away.

This hadith is about a person who had no other property but chose to emancipate six slaves at the time of his death. When Allah's Messenger heard this news he called for the slaves and divided them into three sections. He then cast lots amongst them to decide their fate; two were set free while four were kept in slavery. The Prophet also spoke severely of him for doing so. This hadith teaches us that it is important to be generous with our possessions even if we have little or nothing else to give away. It also shows us that we should not be too harsh on people when they make mistakes as everyone deserves a second chance.
